Punjab Minister for Housing, Syed Raza Ali Gillani, has accorded approval of as many as 92 new developmental schemes of Wasa and developmental authorities of Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad worth Rs 30,727.52 million. He also directed timely completion of 20 ongoing schemes within stipulated period. The 92 new schemes would be included in the annual development programme for the financial year 2005-06. He gave the approval of these schemes at a meeting of heads of development authorities of various cities of the province.
The meeting also reviewed pace of work on developmental schemes relating to road construction and water supply.
The schemes, which were approved for ADP 2005-06 included 15 schemes of urban development wing of Multan development authority, 12 schemes of Wasa, five schemes of Rawalpindi development authority, 10 schemes of Gujranwala development authority.
The minister directed the heads of developmental authorities to submit progress report within fortnight and ensure its timely completion.
